I am many things – a Cleveland native, metalhead (though I love music from many different genres), animal lover, local history buff, and fan of retro pop culture.  I have dabbled in all sorts of forms of artistic expression from a very young age – from “writing” and illustrating my own stories before I could actually spell, to the photography I did in high school, or even the stage acting I did in college.  No matter the medium, I’ve always had something to say about the world and have tried to make my mark in my own unique way.

Though the photography bug bit me as a teenager, life took some unexpected turns and eventually I found myself working in the corporate world as an adult.  I re-discovered my love of capturing compelling moments behind the lens almost completely by accident in the summer of 2015, and I haven’t looked back since.

I view my photography as an adventure, whether I’m by myself or shooting clients.  I could be off on a hike through the woods photographing the fall foliage, at the front of the stage taking action shots of musicians, or capturing the love and joy of newlyweds and their families on their special day – whatever I’m doing, I make having fun a priority both for myself and my clients.  I am always looking for new ways to tell stories through my work, and always seeking to evolve.

I sincerely hope you enjoy the work I’ve shared on my site – it is my pride and joy!  If you or someone you know is interested in booking a session with me, I do all sorts of work – engagement shoots, weddings, senior pictures, and live music photography.  Please feel free to contact me at heather.ann.summers@gmail.com to inquire about rates and to book your shoot today.
